Apat from all these, the Mind has always tendency to move outward & wandering in the Past & Future apart from wandering around in the Present. In fact, it is not surprise at all the that the Mind some times behave like a wild Monkey. As a result, in most cases, human being faces tremendous restless & distractions in the Mind where no calness remain at all. If the Mind remains in Mindfulness, the Mind always remain in Calmness. What is Calmness?:

Calmness is the state of the Mind being free from any kind of distractions or disturbances which can keep the Mind remain in Peace or serenity. In such state of the Mind, the Mind usually remain still & free from worry.

According to Wikipedia, Calmness is the mental state of peace of mind being free from agitation, excitement, or disturbance. It also refer being in a state of serenity, tranquility, or peace. Calmness can more easily occur for the average person during a state of relaxation, but it can also found during much more alert and aware states. Some people find that focusing the mind on something extrenal, such as studying, or even internal, such as the breathing, can itself be very calming.

What is Mindfulness in brief?:

Mindfulness is the ability of the Mind to bring its Attention in the Present Moment. In fact, the Mind can bring back its Attention purposefully by being aware of that Attention of the Mind is not in the Present Moment. In Mindfulness, the Mind not only aware of itself but also aware of what is happening in the Mind right at the moment.

Lets move forward how Mindfulness can keep the Mind to remain in Calmness all the time.

The Mind is always aware of itself in Mindfulness:

In Mindfulness, the Mind is always aware of itself. No matter what is happening right now in the Mind, the Mind is totally aware of that. If thoughts are arising or moving or disappearing, the Mind is aware of thoughts are arising or moving or disappearing. If emotions or feelings are arising, the Mind is aware of emotions are arising or feelings are arising. No matter whatever things are arising or happening in the Mind, the Mind is totally aware of such things.

It is not like that the Mind is only aware of itself & aware of what is happening in the Mind right now. In fact, the Mind is also aware of surroundings also. It might be physical sensation, noise, smell, movement or anything that the the Mind notice through five sensory organs. The fact is that whatever happens in the surroundings, everything goes to the Mind through sensory organs, it appears in the Mind like thoughts, feelings emotions, sensation, pattern, shapes, etc. that is in different forms.

That means the Mind is totally aware of everything whatever appears in the Mind in the Present Moment. As the Mind is absolutely aware of itself & aware of what is happening in the Mind, in such situation, the Mind is in awareness where no distractions or disturbances can impact at all. Hence, the Mind remain in Calmness in Mindfulness all the time.

The Mind Observe everything without any Judgement in Mindfulness;

Being aware of what is happening or arising or appearing in the Mind right at the moment, the Mind can observe them wit hut any judgement in Mindfulness. The Mind only act an Observer where no judgement takes place. That means, observe the Mind by the Mind.

If thoughts are arising in the Mind, the Mind become aware that thoughts are arising. As the Mind is aware that thoughts are arising, the Mind observe such thoughts that are arising without any judgement. If the Mind aware that thoughts are disappearing, the Mind starts to observe that thoughts are disappearing where no judgement of the Mind takes place.

No matter whatever things or phenomena are appearing or arising in the Mind, when the Mind become aware of that, the Mind starts to observe them without any judgement. There might be feelings, emotions, mental anxiety, desires, etc., In fact, no matter whatever things are happening or occuring or arising or happening in the moment, the Mind starts to observe them without any judgement. Such observation starts by the Mind in the Mind by being aware of such things in the moment.

As the Mind is aware & observe without any judgement, in such situation, whatever things happens or occurs or appears, they naturally disappear in the Mind as the Mind not engage with them at all due to no judgement. As no judgement that means no engagement of the Mind is there at all. The Mind only act as a Silent Observer only. Hence, Mindfulness can keep the Mind in Calmness all the time.

Living in the Present Moment in Mindfulness:

Average Mind is like a Monkey Mind who always wanders here & there. Of course, this is a natural tendency of the Mind to always wander here & there. This is no surprise at all that the Mind can also wander even in Mindfulness. But, in Mindfulness, the Mind is always aware of its state whether the the Mind is wandering in the Present or in the Past or even in the Future, awareness follows the Attention of the Mind wherever it goes or moves.

Being aware of the state or existing position of the Mind, the Mind can bring back its Attention to the Present Moment while such Attention wanders in the Past or in the Future. Brining back Attention is the unique ability of the Mind that always flourishes in Mindfulness.

While observing what is happening in the Mind in the Present Moment, Attention of the Mind might wander or move at any place or in the Past or in the Future also. But, awareness of the Mind always follow Attention of the Mind wherever such Attention moves or goes while observing what is happening in the Mind right at this moment. Being aware that Attention of the Mind is not here in the Present Moment, the Mind can bring back such Attention by the ability of the Mind being in Mindfulness.

The Mind remains Non-Attachment to anything in Mindfulness:

While the Mind is in Mindfulness, the Mind is absolutely free from any kind of attachment to anything. No matter whatever happens or occurs in the Mind, the Mind always remain as non-attachment to them & observe them without any judgement.

As no attachment to anything, the Mind is totally free from any engagement with anything. No engagement, no judgement, no analysis, no argument, no fighting, etc. In such situation, nothing can inspire the Mind and also can’t get the Mind to act or react over them. Things appears like thoughts, emotions, feelings, etc., & they also disappear in the Mind after a while naturally.

Let it Appear & Let it Go in Mindfulness:

Being in Mindfulness, the Mind always free move its own way where Awareness of the Mind always follow wherever the Mind moves or goes. The Mind never resist or insist over the Mind by itself. Hence, natural momentum of the Mind always functions very naturally in its own rhythm or momentum.

As natural momentum remains in the Mind whether the Mind flow freely, the Mind always let it appear everything naturally & let it go or disappear naturally. The Mind always aware moment to moment of such arising or appearing of anything like thoughts, feelings, emotions, sensation, phenomena, etc. or whatever it is, they all naturally arise or appear & disappear also naturally in the Mind.

The Mind only remain aware of them & observe them without any judgement where no attachment of the Mind is there wit anything. As a result, nothing can get the Mind in the loop of trap as no attachment or engagement of the Mind is there actively except awareness & observation without judgement of the Mind flows.

Conclusion:

In Mindfulness, the Mind is always aware of itself & also aware of what is happening in the Mind right at the moment. Being aware of such happening, the Mind only observe them without any judgement. As no judgement, that means, the Mind is not attach to anything no matter whatever things appears or happens or occurs in the Mind.

Being aware & observe without any judgement, the Mind free from any engagement or attachment. Hence, whatever happens in the Mind by arising in the Mind, naturally disappear after a while. As a result, no distractions or disturbance arise in the Mind. The Mind always remain in silence & Calmness always remain in the Mind being in Mindfulness.

This is the way, how Mindfulness can keep the Mind to remain in Calmness all the time.
