Thoughts are the natural creation of the Mind that all human being are experiencing moment to moment in Life. Even thoughts are the creation of the Mind, is there any way to understand the reality or true nature of thoughts? As the Mind is creating thoughts, is it possible for the same Mind to understand the real nature of thoughts? All these question usually arise when it comes to understanding the real nature of thoughts in Mindfulness. In Mindfulness, thoughts or anything that creates by the Mind never judge. Their most paradigmatic forms are judging, reasoning, concept formation, problem-solving, and deliberation. But other mental processes, like considering an idea, memory, or imagination, are also included. These processes can happen internally independent of sensory organs, unlike perception. But, when understood in the widest sense, any mental event may be understood as a form of thinking. Including perception and unconscious mental processes. In a slightly different sense, the term thought refers not to the mental processes themselves but to mental states or system of ideas brought about by these processes.

What Cambridge Dictionary says about thought – The act of thinking about or considering something, an idea or opinion, or a set of ideas about a particular subject.

Having understanding from above as stated by Wikipedia & Cambridge Dictionary, simply can simply explain, thought is an idea or opinion produced by thinking or occurring or arising in the human Mind. No matter consciously or unconsciously, thoughts always arise in the Mind as a natural creation of the Mind & thoughts also disappear in the Mind too. Thoughts is a natural activity of human Mind that every human being experience moment to moment in life.

What is Mindfulness in brief?:

Mindfulness sis the ability of the Mind to be remaining in the Present Moment or to bring back its attention in the Present Moment when the Mind itself is aware that attention is not in the Present Moment. . According to Wikipedia. Mindfulness is the practice of purposely bringing one’s attention in the present moment without evaluation, a skill one develops through meditation or through other training. Mindfulness drives from Sati, a significant element of Buddhist tradition.

In simple way, can say that Mindfulness is that the Mind has the ability to bring back its Attention to the Present Moment by being aware of attention that is not in the Present Moment and Mindfulness  can develop through Meditation or some other form of training which are related to the Mind so that the Mind can cultivate or develop such ability to bring back its Attention to the Present Moment purposely. Of course, it takes time, efforts & patience to cultivate or develop Mindfulness. In fact, it’s possible to be in Mindfulness when the Mind of a human being intents to do so.

The Mind with natural attributes in Mindfulness:

In Mindfulness, the Mind always acts or moves or wanders its own way. That means, the Mind always remain natural where its natural attributes always remain as natural. In such natural environment, the Mind always in the natural momentum or rhythm where everything happens or occurs naturally.

In such natural state of the Mind, whatever the Mind creates or performs or functions, etc., all are very natural. The Mind is completely in Freetown to do whatever it naturally does. In such environment, the real nature of the Mind always remain as usual & natural attributes of the Mind always remain as natural.

As the Mind always remain in the natural state, whatever the Mind creates or perform or functions like creation of thoughts, emotions, attention, feelings, wandering, etc., all are with the natural attributes that reflects the natural Mind. Once the natural attributes remain, the Mind can understand its own natural creation.

Being in natural momentum where natural attributes of the Mind always remain and thoughts also arise naturally. the Mind understand the real nature of thoughts in Mindfulness where the Mind naturally acts or functions.

The Mind experience everything in the Present Moment in Mindfulness:

Human Mind experience in the Present Moment, not in the Past or not in the Future. The fact is that, whoever the Mind experience in the Present Moment, it happens only in the Present Moment. If look at the Past, the Past was also the Present Moment in that Past. If experience of the Mind in the Past, that means, the Mind experienced the same in the Present Moment of that past. If you look at the Future, in fact, the Future is yet to come or happen. If the Mind experience something in the Future, that also be the Present Moment of that upcoming Future.

Of course, the Mind can bring back the Past from the Memory. But, that pull out of something also happens or occurs in the Present Moment of that Past. If the Mind imagine something for the Future, that also happens in the Present Moment. so, the experience of the Mind always happens or occurs in the Present Moment.

Thoughts arise in the Mind in the Present Moment;

As the Mind always experience everything in the Present Moment, that means, the Mind also experience thoughts in the Present Moment too. In that case, the Mind experiences thoughts that are arising or moving or disappearing or disappeared, etc., all happening or occurring in the Present Moment. Isn’t it.

In fact, the Mind is concern to thoughts that are arising or moving or disappearing, etc., all are in the Present Moment. Conceding such thoughts of the Present Moment, the Mind always concern also of thoughts those are being experience in the Present Moment. By concerning in the Present Moment of thoughts, the Mind put itself to understand or uncover the real or true nature of thoughts.

Awareness is the natural ability of the Mind which always remain in the Mind in Mindfulness. Being in Mindfulness, the Mind always aware of what is happening or occurring in the Present Moment. Whatever the Mind is experiencing, everything is happening or occurring in the Present Moment. In such situation, the Mind also are of thoughts those are arising or moving or disappearing in the Mind like all other thing.

If thoughts are arising, the Mind become aware that thoughts are arising. If thoughts are moving, the Mind is aware that thoughts moving. If thoughts are disappearing, then, the Mind is also aware that thoughts are disappearing. In fact, all arising or moving or disappearing of thoughts are happening in moment to moment. In such situation, the Mind always aware of moment to moment of such thought processing that arising of thoughts, moving of thoughts, and, disappearing of thoughts.

If the Mind is not aware of the Present Moment, that means, the Mind is not in a position to observe such thoughts with total attention to understand the real or true nature of thoughts. Hence, being aware of moment to moment of thoughts process like arising or moving of disappearing of thoughts, the Mind put itself to understand the reality of thoughts from inception of arising to disappearing of thoughts.

How the Mind understand the true nature in Mindfulness, if the Mind is not pay total Attention of thoughts?

Of course, the Mind can move or wander at any place while being aware of thoughts those are arising or moving or disappearing. The Mind might move or wander even in the Past or in the Future also. In such situation, the Mind is also aware that attention is not in the Present Moment. In Mindfulness, the Mind has the ability to bring back its attention to the Present Moment by being aware that the Attention of the Mind is not in the Present Moment.

In this situation, Attention of the Mind is also under awareness of the Mind too. Brining back Attention to the Present Moment, the Mind keep continue to be aware of thoughts process that is arising or moving or disappearing of thoughts. It is no surprise at all that the Mind might again be away from the Present Moment like wandering or moving state in the Past or in the Future or any other place or area while being aware of thoughts of the Present Moment. The Mind, in fact, aware of such movement or wandering state of Attention too as being in Mindfulness. Then, the Mind again bring back its Attentions to be aware of thoughts.

It is a repetitive process of bringing back Attention to keep continue aware of thoughts. In Mindfulness, the Mind has such ability to be aware of the Mind itself as well as anything what the Mind is experiencing in the Present Moment. Hence, the Mind be always aware of thoughts with total attention to uncover or understand the real or true nature of thoughts.

Paying total Attention of the Mind, how the Mind can understand the real nature of thoughts in Mindfulness.

Observe thoughts without any judgement in Mindfulness to understand the real nature of thoughts:

As being aware of thoughts that are arising or moving or disappearing, the Mind can observe thoughts without any judgement. Of course, the Mind pay its total Attention to observe such thoughts in order to understand the real or true nature of thoughts. That means, Awareness, Observation & attention, all are in one point that is the thoughts.

The Mind always remain itself as an Observer of thoughts where no judgement is there. Only observation of thoughts by being aware & paying total or full Attention of the Mind. This is like a Gatekeeper who is only watching or observing without any talk or conversation or recording of anything.

As the Mind is not doing any judgement, that means the Mind is not getting any engagement actively with any thoughts. The Mind is absolutely in a neutral position in the observation. If thoughts are arising, the Mind is aware of thoughts are arising. The Mind is observing such arising of thoughts with total Attention & keeping itself away from any judgement of such thoughts. If the Mind is aware that such thoughts are moving or disappearing, the Mind also observe such moving or disappearing of thoughts without any judgement. The total or full Attention of the Mind is always there to observe such arising or moving or disappearing of thoughts which the Mind is being aware of in the Present Moment.

Being aware & observing thoughts without any judgement, the Mind can understand that thoughts are arising in the Mind, moving in the Mind & thoughts are disappearing in the Mind. That means, the Mind is the Creator of the thoughts & all thoughts are also disappears in the Mind from where they were created.

The Mind also understand that thoughts are momentary. They arise & disappear so fast, which is totally momentary. In fact, if the Mind is not aware of such thoughts, in most case, such thoughts are not notice by the Mind. That means, a huge number of thoughts are disappearing before the Mind notice them.

As the Mind never do any judgement of such arising or moving or disappearing thoughts, all thoughts can’t get the Mind to engaged with them. They are naturally disappearing without any impression or trace. The Mind can understand & uncover the real or true nature of thoughts that, no thought has any inherent power at all. Thoughts only get active when the Mind engaged with them by doing judgement. In that case, thoughts are utilizing the power of the Mind to get powerful. Otherwise, thoughts are totally powerless.

Observing thoughts from arising to disappearing without any judgement in Mindfulness, the Mind can understand the real nature of thoughts in Mindfulness.

In Mindfulness, the Mind has the ability to be aware of itself & everything, whatever the Mind experience in the Present Moment. As thoughts are arising or moving or disappearing, the Mind can observe such arising or moving or disappearing of thoughts without any judgement.

As no judgement over thoughts by the Mind, thoughts can’t get the Mind to engage with them. As a result, thoughts naturally disappear in the Mind after arising in the Mind. Thoughts become active & powerful in case the Mind engage with thoughts by doing judgement.

The real or true nature of thoughts that the Mind can understand that all thoughts are the natural creation of the Mind those are momentary, and, also inherently powerless unless the Mind actively engage with such thoughts.
